Diabetes and blood pressure support

Support for diabetes and heart health medications

If you live with diabetes or take medication for blood pressure or cholesterol, the pharmacy is often the place you visit most. At Eastview Pharmacy you can have your blood pressure checked, get help learning to use a glucose meter, review how your medications fit your day and ask questions about side effects or timing.

The pharmacist can also go through your medications in a MedsCheck review, including the MedsCheck for diabetes. Readings taken at the pharmacy are a snapshot of one moment. They are most useful when you share them with your doctor or nurse practitioner, who looks after your overall plan.

Supplies and everyday items

Alongside the dispensary, our front store carries many everyday items people with diabetes and heart conditions use, and the team can order items that are not on the shelf. Ask the pharmacist about which supplies your drug plan may cover; coverage rules depend on your plan.

Pharmacy checks never replace the care plan you have with your doctor. If a reading is very high or you feel unwell, the pharmacist will tell you to seek medical care. For anything urgent, call 911. For everything else, call us at (905) 725-3594.
